Freezer Labels for Cold Storage Applications
Products stored or transported in refrigerated and frozen environments require labels that perform reliably under demanding conditions. Whether you’re labeling frozen foods, pharmaceuticals, laboratory samples, or other temperature-sensitive products, choosing the right label material and adhesive is essential.
labelmakers.com offers a wide selection of freezer labels designed to maintain excellent adhesion and legibility in cold and frozen environments. From custom printed labels to blank labels for inventory identification, our freezer-grade materials provide dependable performance in a variety of applications. Built to withstand moisture, condensation, and extreme temperatures, our labels help keep your products clearly identified throughout storage, shipping, and handling.
Freezer-Grade Adhesive vs. Standard Adhesive
Choosing the right adhesive is just as important as selecting the right label material. Our freezer-grade adhesive is specifically designed for products that are labeled at very low temperatures or stored in frozen environments. To achieve the best performance, keep the following guidelines in mind:
Application temperature: our freezer-grade adhesive can be applied to products at temperatures as low as -13°F, making it ideal for frozen foods and other cold-storage applications.
Dwell time: allow labels to bond before exposing the product to significant temperature changes. Whenever possible, we recommend allowing at least 20 minutes for the adhesive to reach its full strength.
Manual application: when applying labels by hand, press each label firmly and evenly across the entire surface to ensure optimal adhesion.
Temperature performance: our standard permanent adhesive performs best when applied above 32°F and remains suitable for temperatures from -4°F to 176°F. Our freezer-grade adhesive is designed for more demanding applications and performs in temperatures from -40°F to 140°F.
