Small Labels for All Sectors and Products
Whether it’s facial oil, creams, vape oils, ginger shots, or pesto, many products across a wide range of industries are packaged in small bottles, jars, or tins. These compact containers require labels that are not only visually appealing but also adhere securely without peeling or lifting. At the same time, even the smallest labels must offer enough space for legible ingredient lists and manufacturer information.
We therefore recommend a minimum label size of approximately 0.79 × 0.79 inches.
Materials
For small packages, the label’s adhesive performance is especially important. To ensure the label stays securely in place and does not unroll, we recommend avoiding heavier materials, such as natural textured paper or cotton paper, for small-format labels.
To determine which material is best suited for your product and intended application, we recommend requesting our free sample book. It includes pre-cut and partially finished sample labels made from our standard materials. You can easily peel them off, apply them to your product, and test their suitability.
Freedom in Form & Design
Digital printing makes it easy to design highly customized small labels for your products. Because no printing plates are required, each label can be personalized—for example, with a unique QR code or an individual name.
You can choose from round, square, or completely custom shapes. Seal labels, neck labels, and banner-style labels are also available.
Release Varnish
For cylindrical packaging, release varnish is an efficient and practical alternative to multi-layer labels. This varnish provides a significantly larger printable area than the container itself typically allows, enabling you to include as much information as needed without sacrificing readability or space.
Release varnish is an invisible, silicone-based coating applied after printing. It allows a label to wrap around itself without permanently adhering, so overlapping sections can be applied and peeled back repeatedly.
Smooth materials—such as films—are best suited for use with release varnish. When combined with transparent label materials, you can take advantage of sandwich printing, further increasing the amount of usable print space.
